One of the reasons I didn't want the Decorative Label punch to retire was that I loved the look the punch gave to the bottom of a screen card.
When the new Pretty Label Punch was delivered by my lovely UPS man I couldn't wait to see if I could use it for my screen cards and it turned out I could.
The new In Colors are so beautiful, my favourites are Berry Burst, Fresh Fig and Powder Pink but the Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide are gorgeous too. I love them all really.
I used the new Fresh Florals DSP for each of the 4 panels. Above the flower on the last panel there is an area on the DSP that is lighter than the rest, the artist water coloured all the designs and I wanted to let you know so that you didn't think this was a printing error.
The flowers are from the beautiful Wild About Flowers stamp set, I was a happy girl when I found out they didn't retire this. I stamped the flowers onto some Whisper White card with Fresh Fig and Pear Pizzazz ink. I used the Layering Ovals Framelits dies to die-cut all 3 ovals. I must apologise because the Birthday sentiment I used is from a stamp set that has now retired, I didn't have any stamp sets from the new Annual catalogue when I made this last month.
I hope you liked todays project, maybe you will give it a try too. If you do I would love to see your creations, you can add your photo's to my Facebook page Lady Dee's Craft Forum.
Have yourself some crafting fun.
The products used to make todays card are listed below. If you would like to order any Stampin' Up! products click on an image and you will be directed to my online store.
Cardbase - Whisper White Thick cardstock 11-1/2" x 8-1/4". Scored at 2-7/8", 5-3/4" and 8-5/8".
DSP Panels - Fresh Florals DSP, each panel was cut to 2-11/16" x 7-7/16".
Because the ovals were so large I had to cut the DSP to this size so that the ovals would fit and I had a very narrow white border around each panel. If you are using a smaller focal point maybe cut it to 2- 5/8" x 7-1/2".
Focal Images - The flowers were die-cut with the 2nd largest oval die.
The Fresh Fig cardstock was die-cut with the largest scalloped oval die.
Behind the Fresh Fig oval I added another Whisper White oval that was die-cut with the largest oval die. This was a last minute decision because the Fresh Fig oval blended in too much with the DSP.
*When designing a project or when I CASE a project I always use my cheap cardstock to make a prototype before making it with my Stampin' Up! cardstock. I do check the measurements I add to my blog posts but when typing lots of measurements mistakes can be made. When making any project I recommend making it first with cheap cardstock before using your best cardstock.*
